Honey has a long history of human consumption and is used in various foods and beverages as a sweetener and flavoring. Ancient Egyptian and Middle Eastern people used honey for embalming the dead. It also has a role in religion, symbolism and health. It is one of the only foods on the planet that will not spoil or rot. If left in a cool dark place for a long time it will "crystallize" or turn to sugar. However, when this happens all you have to do is loosen the lid, boil some water, sit the honey container in the water (heat turned off) and allow it to liquefy. It is then as good as it ever was. 100g (roughly 5 tbsp.) of honey contains... 304 Calories, 0g Fat, 82.4g Carbohydrates, 0.2g Fiber, 82.12g Sugar, 0.3g Protein, and various vitamins.
** Never boil or put honey in a microwave. Doing so will kill its natural enzymes.

In ancient times, it was so highly prized that it was regarded as a gift fit for monarchs and even for a god. Though cinnamon is most commonly used as a spice it also holds great medical value. 100 grams (roughly 5 tbsp.) of ground cinnamon contains... 247 Calories, 1.2g Fat, 80.6g Carbohydrates, 53.1g Fiber, 2g Sugar and 4g Protein.
